I don't usually pay full price for anything, but when I saw these bowls at Williams-Sonoma I decided I would rather have them and be using them then to try and wait for some kind of deal.
The bowls are oven safe and hold a generous 17 oz. Reviews are fantastic for the bowls and one cook mentioned that she has made individual potpies in them. I have not had a chance to try them in the oven yet, but have filled them with chili, stew, and soup. The handles are incredibly useful, but make stacking the bowls tricky for storage.
When I purchased these at Williams-Sonoma, the cashier promptly opened the box and checked all four bowls. In fact, she found a cracked one and pulled a replacement for it from another box. She said they had seen some problems with the shipment they received. So if you purchase at a store, might be worth it to get into the box before you take them home and just make sure none have broken in transit.
I love these bowls and highly recommend. They are $29 for a set of 4.
